From the founding of ForrestPerkins one clear organizing principle served as the prism through which many decisions were made:
ForrestPerkins would build its reputation for luxury design excellence on a closely collaborative approach between architects and interior designers.
ForrestPerkins is chosen by owners who are confident that we can translate their story into a place that resonates with their luxury guests and residents.
We understand luxury hospitality in its many facets, whether hotel, resort, spa, club, or residence. We understand snow, sand, mountains, deserts, and deep
forests-and most importantly, we understand the luxury language that translates across cultures.
Our integrated approach melds interior design with interior architecture to produce among the best coordinated design and documentation available in the
industry today. At a project's inception, we assemble teams of architects, interior designers, lighting designers, and art specialists to collaborate,
and these teams are sustained throughout the life of each project.
The architects and designers of ForrestPerkins work closely together rather than in independent studios, and through close association, produce a
tightly-woven design that meets the design and performance goals of the owner and operator, and most importantly, the high design and documentation
standards that we impose upon ourselves.
Interior Design
ForrestPerkins' interior designers are well-educated, culturally-aware, experienced, and skilled in luxury design and detail. The design of
luxury hospitality environments requires not only an understanding of hospitality interiors but further an understanding of the demands of
luxury design and the luxury guest or resident.
Our interior designers are passionate about the luxury experience and are always seeking the best and most appropriate furniture,
finishes, fixtures, art, and accessories to weave the story that our owners tell. They understand the design opportunities within
the brand experience, and rise to the unique options available with a luxury independent or boutique hotel, resort or residence.
The interior designers' direct relationship with our architects and other design professionals is marked by an understanding of the
larger design process and a knowledgeable ease of communication of complex spatial and decorative concepts.
Architecture
The interior architecture of the luxury hospitality experience is the armature that organizes, modulates and lights the spaces,
accommodates seamless, quiet service, and designs the secure envelope within which the magic of luxury hospitality occurs. On this
armature, our architects work closely with our designers to select materials, finishes, and other accoutrements while coordinating
the design of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems that silently support the luxury experience.
ForrestPerkins' architects are experienced in the design and detail of luxury hotels, resorts, and multifamily developments,
and embrace ForrestPerkins' integrated model of architect-interior designer collaboration. Our architects are seasoned
professionals that understand the intricacies and subtleties of the documentation process and are committed to preserving
the design intent of our owners' and operators' vision.
