The Willard InterContinental Hotel

Considered the Washington, DC residence of heads of state, diplomatic delegations and international business executives, The Willard InterContinental Hotel is the landmark hotel of the nations' capitol. In 1999, ForrestPerkins was engaged to design a complete renovation of the hotel's guest rooms, suites, corridors and casual restaurant as well as a refurbishment of the Willard Room and the Ballroom. ForrestPerkins' approach brought the detail and dignity found in the historic public areas to the guest areas, which had received a more Spartan level of finish in the 1987 restoration which returned the hotel prominence. The work led by ForrestPerkins was completed in 2001.
