Brown Palace Hotel

Denver, CO

The same palatial splendor and concern for comfort that marked the Golden Era of travel continues into the new millennium at the Brown Palace, where ForrestPerkins led the restoration and renovation of the hotel from bottom to top. Improvements include restoration of the hotel's lobby, where high tea is served in the atrium under the original stained glass ceiling eight stories above and the return to 1892 character of two hundred guest rooms and corridors surrounding the atrium. ForrestPerkins planned and designed 28 luxury rooms and suites on the top two floors as a return to the 1930's art moderne style and the three distinctive presidential suites around the character and personality of the residents for whom they are named.

Guests of the Brown Palace today, as in 1892 when the hotel opened as the first atrium hotel, consider the hotel one of the finest in the West, proving the market value of historic ambience preserved with attention to detail and the owners' bottom line. ForrestPerkins' successful interpretation of a time when luxury was defined by leisurely travel contributes significantly to the Brown Palace having achieved a RevPar that exceeds the Denver market by 40 percent.
